Duties and responsibilities but not limited to:
Electrical:
- Must have abilities to troubleshoot electrical and/or electronic circuits as necessary.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic diagrams.
- Troubleshooting electrical components and equipment to the circuit board level.
- Properly bending and installing conduit and other electrical raceways.
- Installing, programming and troubleshooting VFD’s and other motor controls.
- Ability to use PLC’s as a troubleshooting aid.
- Must have a working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Determine voltage and amperage for application. Must be able to identify a grounded motor through use of meter, replacement of motor and wiring of motor for proper voltage and rotation
- Ability to replace failed sensors and other components such as fuses, relays, RTD’s and pressure sensors.
Mechanical Power Transmission:
- Installation of gear drives and gear boxes. Identify wear on gears, and cause for wear if abnormal, rebuild gear drive with proper alignment and gear mesh.
- Installation of chain drive systems, understanding of different types and applications, proper alignment and tensioning. Understanding how to identify wear and chain strength, identifying replacement condition.
- Identification and installation of different types of couplers, understanding alignment tolerances and setting up proper alignments. Ability to identify causes of failures and or wear.
- Identification and installation of bearings, identification of proper application of bearings, lubrication of bearings. Identifying cause of bearing failures.
- Identification of seal type and applications, installation of mechanical seals and setting mechanical seal tension. Identify cause of failure.
- Will be required to perform preventative maintenance on all machinery (i.e. lubrication and inspections.) Including tear downs and rebuilds of various equipment.
Hydraulic Systems:
- Must be able to identify components of hydraulic systems. Identify and install different types of pumps, understand dynamics of a pump system. Identify problems such as seal failures, improper tolerances, causes for HP changes on a pump system.
Thermodynamic systems:
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be able to abide by The AFP Mission Statement dealing with customers, quality, innovation, integrity and ethics values.
- Must be able to value people, teamwork, safety, excellence, and have pride and dignity for work performed.
- Must have 3-5 years previous experience working with industrial, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
- Must possess knowledge with and skills in at least two or more of the following fields: Electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, welding, plumbing, or pipe fitting.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must be able to perform PM’s correctly on all equipment.
- Must be able to work in hot, humid environment and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must abide by company rules
- Other Duties as assigned
Salary range per hour - $29.72 to $32.00
