Cheesesteak Taco

Using Muy Fresco® Nacho Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

Yield: 10 Tacos

  • For Carne Asada Sauce

  • 14 oz

    Muy Fresco® Nacho Cheese Sauce

  • 1 lime (.5 oz)

    Lime juice

  • zest of 1

    Lime zest

  • ½ tsp

    Smoked paprika

  • ¼ tsp

    Cumin

  • ⅛ tsp

    Garlic powder

  • pinch

    Oregano

  • ⅛ tsp

    Onion powder

  • ¼ tsp

    Chipotle chili powder

  • 1 - 1½ tsp

    Vinegar

  • For Carne Asada Cheesesteak Tacos

  • 10 (20 oz)

    Soft taco shells Marinated skirt steak (seasoned with: salt, pepper, cumin, garlic, lime zest, olive oil, jalapeño, cilantro)

  • ½ cup

    Shredded lettuce

  • ½ cup

    Diced tomatoes

  • ½ cup

    Scallion rings

  • 8 oz

    Shredded cheddar cheese

  • 10 oz

    Carne asada sauce

Directions

  1. For the sauce: Blend all ingredients and heat to 160° F. Set aside.

  2. Preheat grill to highest heat possible.

  3. Sear meat to desired doneness.

  4. Let the grilled meat rest for a few minutes.

  5. Cut the meat into strips.

  6. Place taco shells in holder.

  7. Add meat to the shells.

  8. Top each taco with hot Carne Asada Sauce.

  9. Top each taco with lettuce, tomato & scallions.

  10. Garnish each taco with shredded cheddar cheese.

  11. Serve immediately.
